Russian Earl Grey Tea

Inspired by traditional, zesty Earl Grey, our Russian Early Grey is a blend of Keemun, Oolong and Darjeeling leaf teas scented with oil of Bergamot, resulting in a delicious, sweet and citrusy tea.

Earl Grey tea traditionally gets its wonderful flavour and aroma from the addition of oil of bergamot, extracted from the rinds of bergamot oranges (Citrus bergamia). This citrus fruit is a cross between a lemon, lime and a bitter orange and is green or yellow in colour; they are grown commercially in Calabria, Italy.

Sourced from the Qimen County of Huangshan City, Keemun is a black Chinese leaf that reveals delicate fruity aromas and a subtly floral fragrance, while oolong offers deep raisin and ripe fruit aromas that are redolent of Autumn, lingering sweet flavours and smooth, fruity notes. Darjeeling, produced in the warm, humid climates of West Bengal, offers up delicate fruit flavours, which are characterised as Muscatel, in reference to the Muscat variety of grape.
